Will Wembley Prevent Tottenham From Success in Europe?

I'm not sure I trust Tottenham at Wembley.

I trust the team. A very talented team. With arguably the best defender, central midfielder, number ten, and striker in the Premier League.

I just don't know whether such a talented side will be able to be successful at Wembley in Europe.

In the Premier League, I think it will be somewhat ofan issue for them, but if we're talking about the elite continental competition where the best of the best duke it out; Spurs could be held back from realising their full potential.

Going up against Dortmund is the best way to kick things off. They can cast away their disappointing showing where they lost to Leverkusen and Monaco last year at Wembley if they can start afresh with a convincing win.

Dortmund may have lost one of their star players in Dembele, but it's still a very talented side who will be coming to Wembley to attack from the first minute and put Spurs under serious pressure.

The perfect game for how Tottenham play.

But I can't get the Wembley issue out of my head. And those who have played football will know, it makes a big difference playing on a field you are not used to.

It's all to do with the mind and something subliminal. You simply move more naturally when you are on a pitch that you play on more often than one that you do no.

That is why playing at home is a huge advantage, and not just because of the lack of travel and your fans cheering you on.

Pochettino just has to get on with it. It's the reality, and he's got to somehow bring that White Hart Lane psychology into Wembley and get Spurs playing like they did at their old home ground.

If he can do that, then we just won't be in for a fantastic game between Spurs and Dortmund but Pochettino's side would be a surprise package in the competition. HH
