MESSI LEADS THE LUBRICATION OF JUVENTUS

Barcelona still will only go as far as the Argentine takes them.

The match was tight for a bit and Juventus looked like they had figured out Barcelona in the first half, restricting them to just one shot on target...until things got Messi.

It's what this man can do. When Barcelona seem to lose their way and come stuck, he can take the ball out of nothing, and produce something out of nothing.

A goal that was so good, Buffon didn't even move.

It reminded me of Ronaldo's goal in the 2002 World Cup against Turkey in the semi-final, where he struck the ball so early that Rustu did not have enough time to react.

But Buffon didn't even move.

Once that goal went in, Barcelona opened up, and Messi opened up. Once that happened, Juventus had no answer to him. They gave him space, allowed him to turn and find room to express himself.

Once that happened, it was all over.

Again, Messi is reminding people that as long as he is breathing, Barcelona are still alive and can't be counted out. Because Messi in this form, can still lead Barcelona to Champions League glory.

All three goals, came through him. With the second a result of his run and shot that Buffon parried and the third that was Messi finding space, and smashing the ball right in the bottom corner.

Nothing Buffon could do.

It wasn't the best performance from Messi, which is why I admired what he did tonight. He merely just did what he needed to do, without breaking too much sweat and thus telling any doubters that Madrid, PSG and Bayern still have to try and stop him.

Barcelona may not be the favorites for a lot of people with the loss of Neymar. But if Dembele can figure out how to be more efficient and fit into the team and Iniesta can show the incredible control that he did in this game....

Messi can find a bit more magic in his pocket to lead Barcelona to glory. You better believe it and don't make the mistake of betting against him. HH
