CRISTIANO CONTINUES GOALSCORING HEAT AGAINST DORTMUND

Look man...this dude scores a lot of goals.

What can I say? The sky is blue, pancakes taste good, and Cristiano Ronaldo scores in a football match.

This was coming off the back of a very frustrating game he had in which he was shut down by...Real Betis.

Yes...Betis.

CHELSEA'S TACTICAL VICTORY OVER ATLETICO WAS VERY MEANINGFUL

You've got to hand it the tacticians out there.

When they get it right, it's just as beautiful to watch as an attacking team who score three or five goals.

Footballing brilliance comes in a multitude of ways.

PSG HAVE THEIR FIRST MAJOR WIN IN VICTORY OVER BAYERN

Their first real test, and PSG passed with flying colours as they continue their mission to win the Champions League.

That is why Neymar and Mbappe were brought in. The domestic double is a nice dessert, but the main course will always be the European cup. It's what the owners crave, and the two very expensive stars know that is the ultimate goal.

This was just another victory, on the road to that trophy.

SEVILLA'S PHILOSOPHY RESTRICTS THEM

Sevilla are a funny team to watch.

Seeing them again, against Liverpool you applaud the incredible technical quality of all their players, but you wish they had a bit more bravery to play the more direct riskier pass.

HARRY KANE ANNOUNCES HIMSELF IN DORTMUND BEATING

I have been a long time shunner of Kane's talent.

Not that I think he's rubbish, but perhaps a case of being overrated.

For a man who has not yet shone either on the international stage or in Europe, he gets far more praise than he deserves and I always want people to earn their stripes before being touted as world class.

Tonight, Kane really showed up for Spurs, and maybe has given the rest of Europe a little taster of what he and Spurs can achieve this season as well as getting myself to take notice.

NEYBAPCAV HAVE ANNOUNCED THEIR ARRIVAL FOR PSG

Neybapcav have landed, and taken no time to make a statment in the Champions League.

I thought Celtic away from home could prove tricky for the team everyone now wants to hate. But they took care of business in the best way possible and they have put Europe on notice.

Should Qarabag Be Thrown Out of the Champions League?

What is the Champions League?

Some would say it's the best club sides from all over Europe, competing against one another.

I'd go a step further by saying it's the very best teams that the continent of Europe have to offer. Nothing more, nothing less.

Emphasis on the word: best

Will Wembley Prevent Tottenham From Success in Europe?

I'm not sure I trust Tottenham at Wembley.

I trust the team. A very talented team. With arguably the best defender, central midfielder, number ten, and striker in the Premier League.

I just don't know whether such a talented side will be able to be successful at Wembley in Europe.

MESSI LEADS THE LUBRICATION OF JUVENTUS

Barcelona still will only go as far as the Argentine takes them.

The match was tight for a bit and Juventus looked like they had figured out Barcelona in the first half, restricting them to just one shot on target...until things got Messi.

NEYMAR AND MBAPPE BEGIN MISSION TO WIN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

The mission starts here.

I don't care about Ligue 1 or the French Cup, and neither do the PSG board.

This entire project, which is scarily expensive, was built for one thing and one thing only. And that is to win the Champions League.

That's the mission statement, that is the aim, that is the goal.

How Juventus Must Approach a Difficult Trip to the Camp Nou

Lick thy wounds Juve...lick thy wounds.

The Old Lady will attempt yet again to win the Champions League after being humbled, and ripped open in the second half of the final against the supreme Real Madrid.

Dembele and Messi Key to a Valverde-Era Barcelona

Barcelona embark on yet another Champions League campaign and will be hosting last year's finalists is the perfect way for Valverde to get things going.

Better to hit the ground running rather than Baptizing a team where half the players only play football part-time.
